What is a Classic Shaker Kitchen?
Our Classic Shaker is designed specifically to meet the requirements of anyone looking for a traditional shaker style kitchen but fused with elements of both contemporary and traditional design details.
The main differentiating features are an in-frame design, use of a cock beaded front frame, in-line or recessed plinths and the clean lines you expect to get with our Classic Shaker.
Each bespoke kitchen is designed specifically to your requirements. You may combine elements from our other kitchen styles to create your dream kitchen.
The carcasses are traditionally made from your choice of Oak Veneer, solid Pine, solid Oak, Walnut veneer or Birch ply – using dove tail joints. The doors use mortice and tenon joints and can be specified with soft-close hinges or traditional butt hinges. Our drawer boxes use the dove tail joint and are on Grass soft-close runners.
The front frame features a traditional half round Georgian style bead, also known as a cock bead.
Your Classic shaker will be hand painted in a durable paint colour of your choice from one of our preferred manufacturers (such as Farrow & Ball or Little Greene Paint Company).
